How To Put Any MP3 Ringtone On The AT&T BlackJack II

If you own an
AT&T BlackJack II, you probably know that you have a limited ringtone selection for the phone. There’s now a hack to allow you put any size MP3 ringtone on your BlackJack II, not just songs under 300KB.
How To Put Any Size MP3 Ringtones On AT&T BlackJack II
Save your MP3 to your AT&T Samsung BlackJack II’s memory (I like to put my files in “My Documents”).
Use your BJ2’s “My Stuff” file explorer (there is the standard Windows Mobile File Explorer and the “My Stuff” file explorer - use the latter) to navigate to your MP3 file.
Highlight your MP3, hit “Menu” and set that MP3 as your ringtone.
The “My Stuff” browser will ask you if you want to move the file to your “My Sounds” folder - do it. The file gets copied, not moved, to “My Sounds” so your original MP3 file is still chillin’ in the “My Documents” folder.
Now to edit the registry to nix that 300KB file size limit:
- Go into HKEY_Current User ? ControlPanel ? Sounds
- Delete the key of FileSizeLimit
That’s all there is to it! You should be able to set any sized MP3 as your ringtone now.
